Let Your European Out!
Espadrilles have become the new flats of summer 2012. So basically, if you don't own a pair...get on it! This European style could not be a more perfect summer shoe. They are great for days at the mall or lunch with the girls! And not to mention way cuter than sneakers and more comfortable than the go-to summer flip flops (which, as they say, are terrible for your feet anyways).
Believe it or not, espadrilles have been around for about 4,000 years...talk about a historical fashion trend! They come from my mom's native land of ESPAÑA (aka Spain...but you have to say it with some gusto and throw your arms up in the air). My mom being the trendsetter that she is has had a strong impact on my wardrobe, and has of course taught me to love the boldness of European fashion.
As the beautiful Rachel Zoe says, "In my mind, being overdressed is not a bad thing at all. What's the worst-case scenario? That you are the best-dressed person in the room? Who cares!"
These are words to live by because you have one chance to make an impression...and you're better off making their jaws drop than being just that girl in the crowd, agreed? So, Mini would like to help you make an impression with these unique espadrilles that have been hand-painted by none other than my beautiful, talented, artistic, and obviously stylish mom :) One pair is light pink with a floral print and the other is hot pink with a tribal print (summer, summer summer!) The winner will receive a brand new pair with the print, color, and size of their choice.
